

Diagnostic/Petroleum Engineer--Houston, TX
Responsible for conducting reservoir simulation studies, hydraulic fracture modeling, specialized well test analysis, production data analysis & injection/falloff analysis. Provide reservoir engineering support of diagnostic value added studies. Evaluate performance of transverse and longitudinal fracs on horizontal wells to determine the optimum fracture spacing/coverage and orientation; and provide recommendations for placing proppant in open hole and slotted liner well completions. Duties will also include exploration of areas of application of geomechanical parameters in reservoir engineering. Required: Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering or related field. Coursework in Petroleum Development Strategy; Reservoir Engineering and Seismic Interpretation. Skills/experience to include: monitoring and reviewing assets consisting of multiple (40+) wells; performing reservoir evaluation and reserves estimation; determining costs and providing economic analysis for workovers and new drills; evaluating the applications of production technologies; recommending new drilling locations; and identifying and generating workover programs.
