SURFACE TILT
Surface tiltmeter fracture mapping is a unique fracture diagnostic technique in the oil and gas industry that provides a reliable measurement of fracture orientation (azimuth and dip), fracture volume, complexity and approximate location. Pinnacle has successfully mapped more than 10,000 fracture treatments using Surface Tiltmeter mapping at depths greater than 16,000 ft. Pinnacle's latest generation tiltmeters were recognized with a prestigious 1997 R&D 100 Award.
Surface tiltmeter mapping has been employed by producers worldwide to design well placement for infill drilling and enhanced recovery projects, design horizontal well trajectories, identify fracture reorientation, map in-situ stress state for bore-hole stability, diagnose complex fracture behavior, monitor waste injection, map steam injection, and precisely monitor long-term surface subsidence.
